Founded in 2005, turning a bowl of soup into an industrial chain.
The Shanxian Mutton Soup Industry Association was founded in2005and is located in Shanxian County, Heze City, Shandong Province. Dedicated to serving the Shanxian Mutton Soup industry, the Association's scope of business includes: developing members, conducting business with integrity, providing legal consulting services, organizing technical exchanges, protecting the quality of Shanxian Mutton Soup, and carrying out external business exchanges and cooperation.
In 2022, the Association was honored withthe “Four-Good” Chamber of Commerce title of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce(and also received the provincial “Four-Good” Chamber of Commerce title)—the first national honor the Association has won since its founding. By admitting breeding, processing, and catering enterprises from the upstream, midstream, and downstream of the industrial chain as members, the Association has changed the former situation in which enterprises went it alone.
In the past, every household had its own flavor and quality varied greatly, which held Shanxian Mutton Soup back from reaching a wider market. The Association organized time-honored brands, inheritors, and processing enterprises to jointly formulate group standards, ensuring that soup made by different manufacturers is of consistent quality.
Tens of thousands of stores across the country bear the “Shanxian Mutton Soup” sign, and the vast majority are not located in Shanxian. Recording the process provides objective evidence to distinguish “made in Shanxian” from those who misuse the name.

The industry trade union federation and the industry association conducted collective bargaining, with the contract covering 31 enterprises and 876 workers and specifying that the average wage level of workers in 2026 shall not be lower than RMB 3,500, along with wage standards for 11 positions.
